Dovetails is a family run business based in Staffordshire supplying bespoke, handmade, solid wood furniture.

Our skilled cabinet makers have a minimum of 20 years experience in making high quality pieces.

Big or small each piece is important to us and will be lovingly made to the highest of standards. Each handcrafted piece is made to order using nothing but the best quality materials and is finished and inspected by hand before leaving our workshop and making it’s way to your home.

Terms & Conditions

Natural wood
Wood is a natural, non uniformed product that is subject to loose knots and shakes / small splits due to expansion and contraction which is beyond our control.

Orders & Delivery
Thank you for choosing Dovetails. We hope that you will be very happy with your bespoke item of hand crafted furniture.
Once you have selected your item and ensured that the measurements stated on the website are suitable for your needs, You will be required to contact us to discuss delivery costs. We are able to offer FREE delivery to addresses within a 20 mile radius of our ST10 post code, should you live outside of this radius, delivery charges may be incurred dependant on the size of your order.
Once you are happy with your order & delivery costs have been set, Dovetails will generate an invoice and once payment has been received, your order will be processed and delivered within a 4 – 6 week time period. Please accept that this is an estimation of timing and some orders may be delivered sooner but also that some may require longer, this is dependent on the type of order and our workload. Our promise is to keep you up to date with your order process at every stage.
Should you require a different size of furniture to that stated on the website, you should contact info@dovetails-furniture.co.uk stating your size / style requirements and delivery area. We aim to respond to your enquiry within two working days.
Each order is allocated a unique reference number that you will be required to quote should you need to contact us once your order is placed.

Cancellations & returns

The consumer contracts regulations (previously known as distance selling regulations) states that “items that are bespoke or personalised” are exempt from the consumer’s right to cancel.
As each order is “made to order” and therefore bespoke, we reserve the right to use our discretion should a customer wish to cancel their order.
If you wish to request an order cancellation, you will be required to do so in writing or email where your request will be considered and a decision will be made dependant on the progress of your order.
Please ensure that the item of furniture that you order will fit in your desired space, as returns and cancellations of orders will not be accepted should they not.
Dimensions of furniture that you submit are required to be accurate, as Dovetails will not accept responsibility for the return or cancellation of items of furniture that are made to the measurements submitted by you, should they be incorrect.
We hope that you will not have any complaints in relation to your order / item, but in the unfortunate event that you are unhappy, please submit your complaint in writing to info@dovetails-furniture.co.uk within 7 days of delivery. We endeavour to reply to your complaint within 2 working days of receipt.
